In certain situations, you may need to obtain a new certified copy of your documents from the County Clerk’s office or State Registrar to avoid delays. Court documents (Example: Divorce Decree) from Los Angeles must be a certified copy signed and stamped by the Deputy Clerk of the Court. Documents that require your signature (Example: Power of Attorney) must be signed and notarized.
