Do you need to apostille a consent to travel?
At Apostille Services, we take the guesswork out of obtaining an apostille on your consent to travel letter.
We handle the apostille process for travel consent letters signed and notarized in all 50 U.S. states, the District of Columbia, and the U.S. Federal Government (USA Embassy). For countries that are not members of the Hague Apostille Convention, we can also assist in processing your travel consent letter through the U.S. Department of State and the Embassy or Consulate office.
A travel consent letter is typically signed to grant permission for a minor child to travel outside of the country with another person, such as a father, mother, grandparents, aunt, uncle, etc…. You can obtain a travel consent letter from the airline, travel agency, or find a sample online.
Essentially, the letter should state that you authorize one or more individuals to accompany your child outside the country, specifying the travel dates, your name, the child’s name, the accompanying person’s name, the destination country, passport numbers, and the return date. Including airline information is also recommended.
To finalize the process, the travel consent letter must be signed and notarized by the person granting permission. Once the document is duly signed and notarized, you can mail the original notarized document to our office for processing. Download our apostille order forms and follow the provided instructions for submission.

We highly recommend using a notary with at least five years of experience and one who adheres to the notarial laws of their state. Improperly notarized travel consent letters may be rejected by the State, leading to delays and additional costs.
