FBI Background Check Legalization for Uganda

Do you need to legalize your FBI background check through the Uganda Embassy in Washington DC?

Uganda is not a member of the Hague Apostille Convention (Convention of 5 October 1961 Abolishing the Requirement of Legalization for Foreign Public Documents).  Documents originating from the USA and destined for this country requires several steps to complete. These steps are necessary in order for the country of Uganda to accept your documents.

For the FBI background check, it’s a two-step process.  Here is an illustration to help explain the process:

If you receive your FBI background check in a digital format (PDF copy), go ahead and e-mail it to us with the completed order form and payment (see below).  If you receive your FBI background by regular mail (Hard copy), go ahead and mail it to our Washington DC apostille office with our order forms (see below).  We can process a digital PDF copy or a hard copy.  It’s your choice.

Please contact our office so we can recommend an FBI Channeler to help expedite the process of obtaining the FBI background check.  Note: The FBI Channeler will help you obtain the FBI background check and we will help you certify and legalize it through the US Department of State and the Uganda Embassy.

Instructions (4 simple steps):
Step 1: Choose from Basic, Plus, or Premier.
Step 2: Pay online -or- complete credit card authorization form.
Note: Order forms include credit card authorization form.
Step 3: Download our FBI Apostille Order Forms (PDF Format)
(Includes: Order form, credit card authorization form, and translation request form)
Step 4: E-mail us your FBI background check and the completed order forms or you can mail-in your documents to the address listed on the order forms for processing.

If your documents originated from Uganda (Example: Birth, marriage, death, divorce, etc..), you will need to contact the correct competent authority to assist you in that country.
