Do you need an apostille on a TEFL / TESOL certificate?
In order to apostille this certificate, the school must attest to the validity of the certificate by either notarizing the original or a color copy (original is preferred). The school must also be located within the United States.

If you are planning to teach English in a foreign country, most employers will ask for you to apostille your University degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s), FBI background check (FBI Apostille), and TEFL / TESOL certificate. In order to apostille a TEFL / TESOL certificate, the school must be located in the United States and the certificate must be signed and notarized by the school’s Registrar.
